New Office move to St Pauls Square

One of the leading insolvency practitioners and business recovery specialist firms in the region is moving to a new Birmingham headquarters and has announced a major change in its senior team.

Poppleton & Appleby has moved to St Paul’s square to new open plan offices after 15 years at its base in Ludgate Hill, which is set to be transformed into a restaurant.

The move will also see senior partner Martin Coyne, who joined the firm in 1993, retiring from the business.

Andy Turpin and Matt Hardy took over running the business in July last year and both are celebrating 21 years with the firm.

Poppleton & Appleby has wide ranging experience in helping smaller owner managed businesses with financial issues as well as handling high profile local and national cases.

Andy Turpin said: “We had been looking to move for some time to an open plan headquarters and this coincided perfectly with the end of the current lease at Ludgate Hill.

“The building had served us very well for the last 15 years but the new premises are ideal to meet the needs of a changing working environment for the business.

Poppleton & Appleby was founded in 1885 and employs 14 staff.

Matt Hardy added: “We are grateful to the former partners of this long-established practice who have helped shape it and played a major part in the development and growth of Poppleton & Appleby and, having worked alongside them, we aim to continue with their legacy.”
