The Administration of Swift Manufacturing Solutions– 49 Jobs Saved
In this case, we were called in and appointed joint administrators when the business started to suffer cash flow difficulties. We were able to sell the business through a pre-pack administration, saving 49 jobs at the time.
The company involved here was a community interest company, whose resources were not sufficient to pay the VAT demand. Closure looked the only option. Upon engagement, we prepared a detailed deferred payment plan for HMRC, phased over 16 months in varying amounts, that we knew the business could afford to pay.
This proposal was accepted by HMRC, liquidation was avoided, and the client had this to say:
